why you need a First Aid Kit

In recent times, “slumped and died”, “bled to death”, “fell and died” and “died in a stampede”, have become common causes of death in Nigeria. But some of these deaths could have been prevented with proper first aid and effective emergency response interventions.

While we wait for the government to build world class hospitals for us, we must do the small things within reach that may save lives.

First aid kits and emergency response trainings can save lives. Every family should have one. I have one in my kitchen here in US. I did not buy it. I met it in my kitchen as standard kitchen essential. I see one in my Church. I did not put it. I met it here and it is in a place where all parishioners can see and access it.

It is sad that many primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria do not have first aid kits. Many Churches do not also have first aid kits. Many hotel rooms do not have first aid kits. I have not seen a first aid kit in a shop, bus, taxi or kitchen in Nigeria.

What if a pupil gets injured why playing? What if there is stampede in Church? What if you cut your finger while peeling onion? What if your hotel guest faints in the middle of the night?

Sadly, these happen daily in Nigeria and often lives are lost or people get severely injured.

First aid kits and effective emergency response interventions such as CPR can save lives. Get a first aid kit today and have your team trained on CPR and other emergency response interventions.

Remember, it may even be against the law not to have first aid kit in your office, Church, school, bus or shop. Save lives and avoid potential lawsuits by getting a first aid kit. See flier for details.
