Last Sunday was an mpactful day at Annunciation Catholic Church Umuguma Housing Estate Parish, Imo State, as CSAAE spearheaded an invaluable health outreach to members of the community on how to access and utilize health insurance.
The event unfolded with enlightening discussions on the manifold benefits of health insurance coverage. The informative session unraveled the intricate processes of enrolling into both the National Health Insurance (NHIA) and the Imo State Health Insurance (IMSHIA).
The morning wasn’t just about words; action spoke louder as well. A staggering 96 individuals, out of the vibrant 800-strong congregation attending the 6:30 am and 8:30 am masses, availed themselves for blood sugar and blood pressure tests.
The results, revealingly, triggered crucial interventions for two participants who recorded alarming levels of 330 in sugar level and 222/119 in blood pressure.Demonstrating the event’s tangible impact on health awareness.
