CHealth continues its commitment to community healthcare in Nigeria with another impactful free medical outreach, this time at Annunciation Catholic Church, Owerri Imo State.

This time, over 75 elderly individuals received free health screening services, including blood pressure (BP) checks and blood sugar tests, along with essential health support products. This initiative focused on improving elderly healthcare access, a critical need in many Nigerian communities.

For many participants, it was more than just a routine check. It was an opportunity to better understand their health, ask important questions, and receive guidance in a simple and supportive environment.

Conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure) and diabetes are common among older adults and often develop without noticeable symptoms. Without regular monitoring, these non-communicable diseases can go undetected until they become severe. This is why preventive healthcare outreach programs like this are essential for early detection and better health outcomes.

Beyond testing, the outreach also created space for health education and awareness. Conversations around healthy living, medication adherence, and routine check-ups helped participants feel more informed and empowered to take control of their wellbeing.

CHealth remains dedicated to bringing affordable healthcare closer to communities, especially underserved populations. Through ongoing medical outreaches, health awareness programs, and free screenings, the goal is to improve public health in Nigeria and reduce the risks associated with undiagnosed conditions.

Regular health checks -especially for the elderly- remain one of the most effective ways to prevent complications and ensure a better quality of life. Initiatives like this reinforce the importance of routine health screening and follow-up care
