In commemoration of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2026 marked on June 15, 2026, the CSAAE Healthcare Access Centre (CHealth) successfully conducted a free medical outreach that benefited over 60 elderly individuals aged 40 and above. This initiative reinforces CSAAE’s role as a leading force in community health intervention, advocacy, and social impact in Nigeria.
Held on June 16, 2026, the outreach responded to the growing need for accessible healthcare and increased protection for elderly persons, many of whom face neglect, health challenges, and limited access to essential medical services.
Expanding Access to Quality Healthcare
The outreach delivered free and essential medical services tailored to the needs of older adults. Key services included
- Blood pressure checks
- Blood sugar testing
- HIV screening
- Syphilis testing.
Participants also received expert medical consultations, where qualified healthcare professionals provided personalized guidance on managing existing conditions and improving overall wellbeing.

In addition, health education sessions were conducted to equip participants with knowledge on preventive care, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of routine health checks. This ensured that the outreach created not only immediate health benefits but also long term impact.
Over 60 Elders Reached, Lasting Impact Created
With over 60 elders in attendance, the outreach marked a significant milestone in CSAAE’s ongoing commitment to community service. Beyond the numbers, the true impact was reflected in the joy, appreciation, and renewed sense of belonging expressed by participants.
Many elders shared heartfelt gratitude, noting that the outreach made them feel seen, valued, and cared for. For several participants, it was more than access to healthcare. It was a moment of recognition and human connection.

Advancing the Fight Against Elder Abuse
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day serves as a global call to address the neglect, isolation, and abuse often experienced by older persons. Through this outreach, CSAAE continues to raise awareness, promote elder rights, and advocate for inclusive healthcare systems.
By combining healthcare delivery with advocacy, CSAAE is tackling elder abuse from both preventive and supportive angles, ensuring that elderly individuals are protected and empowered to live healthier, dignified lives.
Strengthening CSAAE’s Leadership in Social Impact
This initiative further strengthens CSAAE’s reputation as a leader in sustainable development, healthcare outreach, and community empowerment in Nigeria. The organization continues to drive measurable impact through programs focused on health, education, youth empowerment, and social advocacy.
Through C Health and related initiatives, CSAAE remains committed to bridging healthcare gaps and improving access for underserved populations, especially vulnerable groups like the elderly.

A Continued Commitment to Care
While the outreach has concluded, CSAAE’s commitment to elderly care continues. The organization calls on individuals, stakeholders, and communities to actively support and protect older persons.
Caring for the elderly should not be seasonal. It should be consistent, intentional, and collective.
CSAAE will continue to lead, advocate, and act ensuring that no elder is left behind.
